Hedges looked after properly
A well-kept hedge makes a garden. An overgrown one blocks light, swallows paths and quickly gets out of hand. We take care of hedges of all sizes across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch — from neat front-garden borders to long, tall boundary hedges.
What we do
- Regular trims — keeping your hedge tight, tidy and healthy
- Height & width reductions — bringing overgrown hedges back under control
- Conifer and leylandii reductions — including tall hedges that need ladders or access equipment
- Topiary & shaping — balls, domes, and cloud-pruned forms
- Full clean-up — all cuttings removed and paths and lawns left clear
Nesting birds
Birds often nest in hedges between March and August. We always check before cutting and will adjust the work or timing if there's an active nest — it's the law, and it's the right thing to do.

Frequently asked questions
How often should my hedge be trimmed?
Most formal hedges look their best with one or two trims a year. Fast growers like leylandii and privet may need more. We're happy to set up regular visits so you don't have to think about it.
Can you reduce a really overgrown hedge?
Yes. We regularly take tall, overgrown hedges and conifers back down to a manageable height and width, and shape them so they recover well.
Do you take the cuttings away?
Yes — all cuttings are cleared and taken away, and we leave paths, lawns and borders clean.
